Notion offers four plans: Free ($0), Plus ($10/user/month billed annually, $12 monthly), Business ($18/user/month annual, $21 monthly), and Enterprise (custom pricing). Notion AI is an additional $8/user/month (annual) or $10/user/month (monthly).
Yes. The Free plan includes unlimited pages and blocks for individual use, 10 guest collaborators, 7-day page history, and a 5 MB file upload limit. There is no time restriction.
Per user. Every workspace member counts as a billable user. Guest collaborators do not incur charges but are subject to plan limits (10 on Free, 100 on Plus, 250 on Business).
Yes. Annual billing saves approximately 17-20% compared to monthly billing. Plus drops from $12 to $10/user/month, and Business from $21 to $18/user/month.
Notion AI costs $8/user/month with annual billing or $10/user/month with monthly billing. It is a workspace-wide add-on — you cannot enable it for select users only.
Notion occasionally offers free trials of AI features. Check your workspace settings for any available trial. Free plan users can preview AI but need a paid plan to continue using it.
AI writing assistance, Q&A across your entire workspace, automatic database property filling, page and meeting summarisation, translation into 16+ languages, and custom AI blocks.
Business adds: 90-day page history (vs 30), 250 guests (vs 100), private teamspaces, SAML SSO, bulk PDF export, and advanced automations. It costs $18/user/month vs $10 for Plus (annual).
Enterprise adds unlimited page history, audit logs, SCIM provisioning, advanced workspace analytics, a dedicated Customer Success Manager, and custom contract terms. Pricing is negotiated.
Yes. Upgrades are prorated immediately. Downgrades take effect at the next billing date. Your content is preserved when changing plans.
For individuals on any plan, pages and blocks are unlimited. For team workspaces on the Free plan, there are block limits. All paid plans offer unlimited blocks for teams.
Yes. Students and educators with a valid .edu email get the Plus plan free, including unlimited blocks, 30-day page history, and 100 guest collaborators.
Yes. The Notion for Startups programme offers up to $6,000 in credits for companies with fewer than 50 employees, less than $10M in funding, and no existing paid Notion subscription.
Yes. Registered nonprofits receive 50% off Plus or Business plans through Notion's nonprofit programme.
Notion does not typically offer prorated refunds for downgrades. The downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you retain access to paid features until then.
Notion accepts major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). Enterprise customers can arrange invoice-based payment and purchase orders.
Your content is preserved. However, you will lose access to features above the Free tier (extended page history, automations, etc.). Team workspace blocks may be restricted.
